The Arts and Crafts Movement had deep roots in the West Midlands, its historical origins and many of its cultural roots lay in the architecture still present throughout the region. Oozing with romance, explore several houses which were an incubator for inspiration and a precursor of early European modernism. The house is full of personality and playfulness. The latter half of your journey will take you ambling through the rolling hills of The Cotswolds. Truly, there isn’t anything more enchanting than experiencing the Cotswolds in the Autumnal season. Against blue skies, Autumn paints a stunning scene using every color from nature’s palette and its Cotswold canvas is no exception. On this tour, you will take it slow while wandering through charming villages, and enjoy hearty pub meals by the warm fire.

Walk the ruins that witnessed the power and pageantry of Robert Dudley’s court, and take in sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. From here we continue to Warwick, a market town where medieval walls, timber-framed houses, and lively cafés offer the perfect setting for an afternoon of wandering. You may choose to visit Warwick Castle, explore St. Mary’s Church, or simply pause for tea and soak in the town’s timeless rhythm. By evening, we’ll make our way to The Falkland Arms, one of England’s most atmospheric country pubs. With its low beams, crackling fire, and hearty fare, it is the perfect place to savor a slow supper before returning to Ettington Park for the night.

A local guide will lead us on a walking tour, weaving together history, theater, and everyday life in Shakespeare’s England. You’ll also have time on your own, perhaps to wander along the River Avon, explore boutique shops, or step inside one of the half-timbered pubs. As the sun sets, we continue to Solihul. Dinner tonight is a true highlight: the award-winning restaurant named the UK’s number-one restaurant in 2023. Here, within the restored Victorian Walled Garden, a fifteen-course tasting menu awaits, each dish telling the story of soil, sustainability, and bold creativity. It will be a meal to remember long after the journey ends.
