About your trip

Uncover the magic of a luxurious and private country estate in Exmoor. An enchanting tree-lined avenue leads to a beautiful homestay nestled in private woodlands on an estate of over three thousand acres.

A large manor, cosy as a cottage. A traditional country house, newly built with all mod cons. A moorland hideaway, close to the bustling North Devon coast.

Step behind the formal façade and find your every comfort catered for, with underfloor heating, a Sonos sound system and high-speed broadband. Quality and style flow through to the kitchen, where cooking is a pleasure with the Everhot range and, afterwards, you can let the Miele dishwasher take the strain.

Timeless elegance suffuses the reception rooms. Sit before an open fire, tapestry rugs at your feet, antique dressers behind you and beautiful artworks on the walls. Gather in the drawing room, library or dining room, or chat over the kitchen island with a glass or two of complimentary English wine, produced on the manor’s sister estate in Herefordshire.

Outside, play tennis or croquet on the lawns, where there’s a marquee pitch too and a ha-ha; perfect for drinks parties. Explore the 6,000 acre moorland estate, where red deer roam, and sea eagles, otters and Exmoor ponies make their home. Go fishing, wild swimming and walking and when you return, relax and soak up the spectacular views, over a barbecue.

The bedrooms are restful and appealing, with an abundance of four-posters, as well as luxury ensuites and moorland views.

Here you will be invited to retreat into rest. This time isn’t about filling your days with activity and constantly traveling, rather this time is a balance of connecting, resting and exploring. Some days we will travel throughout the highlands, other days we will stay put. Sleep in. Just be. When night time comes, we will gather by the fire and enjoy a family style dinner by candlelight.

This is a time for you to rest, to be inspired, to allow yourself time to reimagine your life or simply connect with others. Ultimately, this is meant for you to find a soft place to land. Luxuriate in the quietude of this peaceful Highland haven, relinquish worries and stressors of homelife and allow yourself to rest and simply be. The rest is taken care of.
